Mr William J Kelly
Role: Chairperson, Parent Representative
Term: 2024-2027
Mr. Kelly is dedicated to raising awareness in the broader community about the school and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). He aims to ensure that, through collaboration with fellow SGB members, educators and support staff are well-equipped and supported to create a safe educational environment where learners can thrive according to their abilities.
Mr Lucas Mtsweni
Role: Vice Chairperson, Parent Representative
Mr. Mtsweni is passionate about fostering collaboration among SGB members and ensuring that the school’s vision is achieved through collective action. He is committed to supporting learners, educators, and the broader school community with integrity and care.
Mrs Karen Davel
Role: Secretary, Deputy Principal of Admin, Educator Representative
Mrs. Davel is passionate about contributing positively to the school’s environment. She ensures effective communication and record-keeping within the SGB and plays a key role in the school’s administration.
Mrs Agnethea Coetzee
Role: Treasurer, Parent Representative
Mrs. Coetzee contributes meaningfully to the financial and operational aspects of the school. She is committed to supporting the SGB in making sound decisions that promote stability and growth within the school community.
Ms Elerian Jeanette Sarpong
Role: Member, Principal, Educator Representative (Ex Officio)
Ms. Sarpong serves as an ex officio member of the SGB in accordance with the South African Schools Act. As the principal of Via Nova School, she plays a pivotal role in leading the school community, ensuring strategic alignment between the SGB and the school’s vision, and supporting educators and learners alike.
Ms Annerie Krause
Role: Deputy Principal of Curriculum, Educator Representative
Ms. Krause brings extensive experience in special and inclusive education. She is dedicated to addressing the needs of all stakeholders and ensuring the continuous growth of Via Nova School.
Mr Mzwandile Zikalala
Role: Member, Parent Representative
Mr. Zikalala brings valuable expertise in resource planning and project management. He is committed to supporting the school’s strategic development with the learners’ best interests at heart.
Ms Emily Thokozile Nkambule
Role: Member, Educator Representative
Ms. Nkambule plays a positive and supportive role within the SGB. She is committed to the overall growth and development of the school and contributes to decision-making that benefits both staff and learners.
Mrs Michelle Buitendach
Role: Member, Assistant Representative
As a representative of the assistant and premises staff, Mrs. Buitendach provides valuable insight into the daily operations and practical needs of the school. Her hands-on experience supports effective decision-making that benefits the entire school environment.
Ms Kgomotso Mmalegae Moalusi
